While undergoing treatment, the military personnel continue to receive their financial support.

If the personnel are in inpatient treatment or rehabilitation due to an injury, they also receive an additional reward of UAH 100,000 – calculated monthly and prorated to the time spent in the hospital.

If the personnel receive an MMC conclusion recognising the injury as severe, they also receive this additional reward during medical leave.

To receive the additional reward, it is necessary to submit a report to the command requesting payment. The report must be accompanied by a certificate on the circumstances of the injury and documents confirming inpatient treatment/medical leave (MMC conclusion/opinion).

The payment is made monthly, based on a commander’s order, during inpatient treatment or medical leave following a severe injury.

There are cases where additional reward payments are stopped after an injury. Most often, this happens after four months of treatment, because personnel in long-term treatment undergo an MMC at that point. It is therefore essential to obtain an MMC conclusion stating that treatment will continue beyond four months and to inform the immediate commander of the treatment's continuation. The MMC conclusion must also be submitted to the unit.

Additionally, personnel may receive material assistance once a year. It is paid in the amount of one month’s financial support. To receive it, the personnel must submit a report to the immediate commander and attach documents confirming the injury.
